In the middle of the Mountain range of the Carregueira, Rocky Roquemore drew a golf course that is fully integrated in the plant of Charles Franzman, with the next lines: The houses are built in the top of the mountains, with sight on the golf course, and the golf is in the valleys, protected by the winds. The result, a golf course with international category, which will be a point of compulsory meeting for the golfers and a verdant scenery for its residents.

Overlooking Estoril and the sea, the 5,262 metre-long course is set amongst eucalyptus, pine and mimosa trees, giving it a uniquely colourful touch.
The Estoril Golf Club has been here since 1945. Two of the most important tournaments in the Portuguese golfing calendar have been held frequently on this course: the Portuguese Open, 20 times and the International Amateur Championship ,62 times.

The Penha Longa course enjoys championship characteristics and beautiful panoramic views over the Sintra mountain range.The Atlântico is a fabulous 18-hole course that forms part of the Protected Landscape Area of Sintra and Cascais. It was designed to best take account of the steeply sloping terrain and some of the most excellent views of the surrounding landscape. The Mosteiro is a fabulous 9-hole course, offering a new alternative to the existing course. The Mosteiro is less undulating then the Atlântico course and so presents fewer difficulties for the player. This course requires high handicaps and challenges players with its fast greens and narrow fairways.

The course meanders through a beautiful natural landscape of gentle rolling hills and pine trees, with each hole carrying its own individual characteristics, decorated with 9 lakes with eye-catching sprays and fountains.
In a prime location, Golden Eagle is just over half an hour from Lisbon and the Silver Coast's beautiful beaches.

It is certainly one of the most picturesque layouts in Europe, set in extensive grounds of pine forest and undulating dunes with spectacular views over the Atlantic and the Berlenga Islands beyond. The course is visually stunning and tremendously exciting to play. Because of the endless variations of the terrain you'll never play it the same.

Campo Real Golf is taking shape in the heart of Portugal´s enchantingly rural West region, near Torres Vedras, just 30 minute drive fron Lisbon and 15 minutes from the beaches. Its name translates literaaly as “ the Royal Meadow” and was inspired b y the First Kings of Portugal who used the area as their personal hunting ground
CampoReal´s Golfing course is a true challenge both for the professionals and for amateurs. Most of the fairways are narrow and demanding shots precise while the greens are excellent but also narrow and long.

The Vimeiro Golf Course overlooks the sea. With 9 holes, this course is nestled on the two slopes of the Valley of Alcabrichel River.
Its rounded hills covered in pine trees and beautiful flowers, provide a feisty challenge to golfers’ skills.

The design of this course was assigned to another former European Tour player, Michael King, again under the expert supervision of European Golf Design. This is again the same type of environment with a lot of cork oak – trees, and while the style is more British than American (like the Blue Course), there is still a certain feeling of uniformity, maybe due primarily to the type of vegetation. This course is intended more for members, which explains why the yardage and the width of fairways are much more reasonable.

This is one of the two courses that goes to make up this spawning resort lying in a pretty forest some 45 minutes outside of Lisbon. With E.G.D. Peter Townsend designed this dearly as championship course, it only for this yardage. Total length is 7, 370 yards but at least is an easy course to walk despite the beautifully sloping terrain and dales lined with magnificent cork oak – trees. Having said that the large number of tee boxes makes this course where most golfers might car a flattering score because the greens are huge with only a few contours. It can be tougher for the long – hitters, because while they can get rip at leisure they need to be a careful with narrow fairway, some rather large bunker and a few water hazards the threaten the shot, on the 14th, you will need to know just how far you can hit it to make that short-cut.

The heart of Tróia houses one of the most interesting and challenging golf courses in Portugal, situated in a fabulous natural setting, facing the sea and protected by mountains. A gentle breeze from the sea accompanies him on the field, immersing you in a scent of pines and wildflowers. The low-handicap golfer will recognize the unmistakable style of Robert Trent Jones Senior in the layout of fairways and greens of the par-72. After the challenges of the game, relax in the clubhouse or any of the amazing places of Tróia resort.

With the Arrabida Mountains as its backdrop, the Quinta do Peru Golf Course offers amateurs a pleasant game, whilst also presenting a challenge for professionals. It was voted amongst the top 10 courses in Portugal in the biennial poll organized by the European Golf magazine. With its many trees and wild flowers, the course provides a varied start, for the first three holes consist of a par 5, a 386-metre par 4 and a 186-metre par 3. Amongst the first nine holes, attention is drawn to the short eighth hole, with a lake in front of its green. The next nine holes are even more difficult. Number 12 is a par 4 which, although not very long, has a lake running beside the fairway and down to the green. Then comes what is probably the most difficult test on the course: hole 16, a 200-metre par 3, where one needs to play over a lake to reach the green.

Near by the Palmela Castle, the Montado golf course is surrounding by vineyard of the region, cork trees, where streams and lakes make the magic beauty of this estate. At 30 minutes from Lisbon, the golf course is inserted in a landscape that helps to break the routine of everyday life. In operation since 1992 and reformulated since 2005 by the Jorge Santana da Silva, on the whole layout was redesigned by creating a new Tees and Greens that require some time ponder to choose the right cue before the stroke closely approximated.

Set in a 900 acre pine forest estate with various lakes and enjoying a temperate micro-climate that permits year-round golfing, Aroeira I golf course provides an excellent test of your skills and a great source of enjoyment to every golfer, beginner or pro.Specialists say it is one of the best in Europe and it hosted the Portuguese Open in 1996 and 1997 and a number of Ladies Opens.

Designed by the architect Donald Steel, with 18 long holes that contour 6 large lakes, Aroeira’s second championship golf course was inaugurated in April 2000. One of the course’s characteristics is its 5 tees per hole, making it suitable for all levels of players. Aroeira II was built to European Tour recommendation standards in order to host major international golf events. It is currently home to the Qualifying School of the Ladies European Tour.
